Time is valuable and your help is invaluable! Volunteers from Greater Philadelphia help support WHYY in a variety of functions, including on-air membership campaigns, mailings and office support. It doesn't matter whether you have just a few or as many as 20 hours each week to volunteer - you'll find the time spent here rewarding and of great value to WHYY.

Membership Campaigns

You or your company can be one of the friendly faces seen answering phones during WHYY-TV or WHYY-FM membership campaigns. Volunteers answer phones when supporters call to make contributions to WHYY and provide needed support to complete transactions. It's a great way to show support for WHYY and meet new people. It's also a fun activity for friends and community organizations.

Events

WHYY holds many events each year for members and the general public at WHYY's Technology Center and in the community. Volunteers are needed to staff check-in and information tables.

Office Support

There's much work to be done on a daily basis at a busy nonprofit organization such as WHYY. Your special skills could be a unique asset in a bustling environment.
